1. if you are under 80 and have no pre-existing conditions you do NOT need a Fit For Travel Certificate- simply file a Helpdesk ticket SELECT Travel Insurance as the issue, add your travel  itinerary or planned departure date, principal destination and mode of travel and a member of the team will be allocated to assist you

2. if you have pre -existing conditions you need a Fit For Travel Certificate - again simply file a Helpdesk ticket but SELECT Travel Insurance  - Fit For Travel Required as the issue, add your travel itinerary or planned departure date, principal destination and mode of travel and a member of the team will be allocated to assist you.

If you have pre -existing conditions the Fit For Travel Certificate Form will be sent to you so as to ensure you get the latest required form.

We are working on this insurance being online in the policy system so follow this post as when that happens we will update this post with a link.

If you want to get some background on Fit For travel Certificates information is available for New Zealand travellers at https://flysafe.nz/

Most medical practitioners will issue Fit For Travel Certificates and your best course of action is to check with your GP first.

3 pre-existing conditions means:

“.....any sickness, dental condition, injury, defect or disease or any other m Condition medical condition for which advice, treatment, medication or investigation has been received or prescribed in the 12 months prior to the insured becoming an eligible class of Insured Person as described on the Certificate of Insurance which may or may not be of a recurring or ongoing nature or any complication directly or indirectly attributable to it; and/or - of which You are aware, or the symptoms of which You are aware, or could reasonably be expected to have been aware at the time of becoming an eligible class of Insured Person as described on the Certificate of Insurance.”    Copied from the policy wording.
